The festival is open to ALL women: lesbian, bi, trans, or straight.

Coordinators – All festival coordinators will be clearly visible with special t-shirts with "STAFF" written on the back. Feel free to approach them with questions, comments, and especially thanks for all their hard work!

Directions

No males allowed / Childcare

Men and boys aged 10 or older will NOT be admitted to the grounds. We ask our Gay brothers and other straight supportive men to continue coalition building with us through other events while respecting the women-only space of the Ohio Lesbian Festival.

Child care IS available Saturday from 11 am - 9 pm & Sunday 11 am - 2 pm. Boys aged 5 to 9 must stay at the Kids’ Tent.  (If you have questions or concerns regarding this policy, please contact us at General Questions .) Children under age 2 must be attended at all times by a parent or guardian.

Donations to defray Kids’ Tent costs are appreciated.

Accessibility

Stage performances will be ASL interpreted.  Interpreters will be available by request for workshops.

Only one service animal (any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability) per person is permitted on the land. Area kennels are available if you need to board additional animals. No pets are allowed on the grounds or in the parking areas.

All buildings and areas as well as certain toilets are wheelchair-accessible. In-car registration will be available at the gate, and shuttle service between locations on the grounds will be provided. Motel 6 (see lodging page) has wheelchair accessible lodging. Rooms and roll-in showers are completely wheelchair accessible.

If you have any special needs or questions regarding accessibility, please email us prior to the festival. All efforts to accommodate everyone, no matter their needs will be made. HomeBase will have a rest area, some mobility equipment, "Helping Hands", and crisis intervention.

An on site physician is available on call.

Food

We are going to have a new improved fantastic menu. There will be more and better options vegetarian and non vegetarian options!!!!

Snacks, ice cream, popcorn and other items will be available at the General Store.

You are welcome to bring your own food. Remember to pack any perishable foods in plenty of ice (keep them colder than 41 degrees Fahrenheit). No glass containers (that means beer in cans or plastic bottles). No open fires.

Remember: One of the best ways to prevent food borne illness is to wash your hands! Running water is available in the flush toilet cabin along the creek. (As you are looking at the stage, ALL the way to your right, beyond the Merchant area and beyond the Lesbian U areas)

Frontier Ranch has been described as rustic, though comfortable and private. There is a covered seating area for 700 in front of the stage, but you may wish to bring along lawn chairs or blankets since seating fills up quickly. There is plenty of available space on the hill and around the covered area. There is also a lodge with picnic tables and a huge fireplace, flush toilets and port-a-janes (including accessible ones), picnic tables, a food concession, and large grassy areas for sports and workshops.

The weather in Central Ohio in September is usually slightly cool with bright, blue skies and sunshine. However, it can on occasion be somewhat unpredictable, so come prepared for heat, chill or rain. We recommend you use a canopy to protect yourself from either the hot sun or rain.

Friday Evening -
The gate will be open from 5pm - 9pm for Campers and Vendors Set-Up

Friday Night - We will offer movies, popcorn, coffee, hot chocolate, snacks and drinks. The kitchen will not be open and campers will be restricted to the movie/camping area. There will be no childcare on Friday.

Saturday Morning -
The Gate will open at 8am for Vendors. Vendors must have completed set-up and have vehicles out of festival area by 10am.
Campers are allowed to enter at 9am. The gates open at 11 am for general festi-goers. Festival hours are: Saturday 11 am to 2 am. The night stage will end at 11 pm, but the after party will start then and continue until 2 am. Sunday 10 am - 2 pm.

Sunday Morning -
The gate will open at 9am.

The merchant area will be open for sales from 11 am to 10:00 pm Saturday & 10 am - 2 pm Sunday. Merchant arrival is no earlier than 8 am. Merchant tear down begins immediately at 6:30 pm, if not an evening special hour booth. The merchant area is lighted for evening sales for those merchants with access to the electric. Only animals providing disability assistance (one per person) will be allowed on the land. We have a list of local kennels.

Bring

• Flashlight

• Folding chairs (we prefer beach style - height 6 inches) (so you don't block the view of the gals behind you)

• Warm clothes

• Rain gear

• Blanket or tarp

Do NOT Bring

• Camcorders or recording equipment
• Firearm(s), deadly weapon(s) or dangerous ordnance(s)
• Flash cameras (the flash is very distracting to the performers)
• Glass containers of any kind
• Men or boys 10 or older
• Pets (except one recognized assistance animal per person is permitted on the land).

Emergency Services

HomeBase will have fresh water, a rest area, some mobility equipment, "Helping Hands", and crisis intervention. A physician is available on call on site.

In case of an emergency, please call 911 and contact security personnel.

Concealed Carry Information – It is illegal to carry a firearm, deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance anywhere on the premises of Frontier Ranch, at 8836 York Rd SW, Pataskala, Ohio, during the time of preparation, during the event or during the cleanup for the Ohio Lesbian Festival. Unless authorized by law, no person shall knowingly possess, have under the person's control, convey, or attempt to convey a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance onto the premises of Frontier Ranch, at 8836 York Rd SW, Pataskala, Ohio, during the time of preparation, during the event or during the cleanup for the Ohio Lesbian Festival. The General Store: Carries festival merchandise and souvenirs, raffle tickets, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and other special treats. The General Store will be open all day Saturday through Night Stage and from 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday.

Mammograms: Riverside Mobile Mamograms. Onsite 11 AM to 6 PM on Saturday only. Financial assistance may be available to qualified womyn. Drop-in or make an appointment in advance 614-566-1111.

Also at the L.U. Events Tent: Message board, extra programs, big map for finding workshops, and hopefully, the answers to your questions. All L.U. Events activities are free and sponsored by the Lesbian Business Association.
